About

Stefanie Tong
Welcome! Thanks for stopping by and visiting. I’m Stefanie, wife to my graphic designer husband and mama to a chatty four-year-old, a newborn and two angels. Between drawing, singing, dancing, photography, typography and playdough messes, there’s always some creative process going on in our home.

My life is a mishmash of everything, and I write about my life so expect to read a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. By profession I am an Early Childhood Educator which I’ve been doing since my first rear end car accident in 2004. (I’ve been rear ended three times.) Prior to that I was a professional Hip Hop dancer teaching 8-10 classes per week in addition to rehearsals and performances. I fought hard to get back to dancing after my first accident, and split my time between the studio and the classroom for many years. Dancing is definitely a spiritual experience for me and I do wish to return to dancing when my body allows. You can expect to hear about my battle with chronic pain, journey of wifehood and motherhood and stories while I figure out how to walk with Jesus.

My goal is post at least once per week. (Feel free to keep me accountable.) I usually write with one of my daughters attached to me while I wait for her to fall asleep. They are my little loves that require a lot of nighttime parenting, actually, nighttime mommy-ing. On rough days you’ll catch me snacking on popcorn and sipping on a slurpee while I write. Ideally, I’d be writing from a beach in Hawaii.

I’d love to stay connected with you between my posts. My Facebook page is where I’d like to create more conversations with you, and Instagram is where I like to pretend that I’m a photographer via my iPhone. I’m also trying to figure out this thing they call Twitter.  Drop me a line anytime, I’d love to hear from you.
